This adapter converts a digital HDMI signal to analog RCA (AV tulip). Works only in one signal direction, from HDMI to RCA! Examples of use - connecting a laptop or set-top box with an HDMI output to an old TV with RCA tulip inputs. For reverse conversion (for example, connecting a tuner with a tulip output to a TV with an HDMI input) we recommend the RCA to HDMI converter model.
This converter is a device on the circuit that converts the signal, so it needs power. The converter lights up from the HDMI port of the connected device. In the event that the device connected to the HDMI port does not provide sufficient power, the converter may not turn on. In this case, you need to connect power to it via the USB cable that comes with the kit. This cable is inserted into the converter with one side, and into any USB port with the other (for example, a laptop USB connector or any USB power supply from a smartphone). A current of 0.5A is enough.
This converter connects to devices that are connected using standard RCA-RCA and HDMI-HDMI cables. They are not included in the converter kit, but you can choose and buy a cable of the required length in our HDMI cables and RCA cables sections of the store.
