Main Features
It is a dual serial port data acquisition unit and IoT gateway designed for industrial environment. 1-ch RS232 and 1-ch RS485 can work simultaneously without interfering with each other via a single Ethernet cable. The device combines multiple functions: serial server, Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway, RS232 & RS485 to JSON, etc. The secondary Ethernet port can be used as a network switch or for cascading, and PoE* function is optional for both Ethernet ports. Provides two power supply ways: DC port (outer diameter: 5.5mm, inner diameter: 2.1mm) and screw terminal. The rail-mount casing is compact in size, easy to install, and cost-effective. Suitable for applications such as data acquisition, IoT gateway, security & IoT, and intelligent instrument monitoring.
* This product is a PoE power receiving device (PD), it needs to be connected to a PoE power supply and obtain power from the PSE device to work normally.

MQTT/JSON to Modbus
More flexible conversion between different protocols
When used as an MQTT gateway, devices can upload serial data to the MQTT server through the MQTT protocol via transparent transmission. Supported servers include Baidu Cloud MQTT, Alibaba Cloud MQTT, China Mobile OneNet, etc. The obtained Modbus RTU data or non-standard serial data can be parsed in JSON format and packaged into an MQTT data packet for uploading.
When used as a JSON data acquisition gateway, devices can connect to data acquisition instruments through RS485 connection, then automatically obtain data, convert the data into JSON format, and finally send it to the server. The acquired data supports Modbus RTU 645 instrument version 97, 645 instrument version 07, as well as various non-standard RS485 protocols. The uploaded data format can be configured through the host, and the JSON upload protocol can be MQTT protocol, HTTP POST protocol, HTTP GET protocol, etc.
