RS485 to Ethernet Converter is an easy-to-use, high-speed, low-power, high-stability, upgradeable module.
Important: This module does not support Modbus TCP. If you need this feature, please purchase RS232/485 TO ETH.
Overview
The RS485 TO ETH module provides an easy way to communicate between RS485 and an RJ45 Ethernet port. It can be configured via a web page.

- Configurable RS485 baud rate (600bps~230.4Kbps), supports five parity check options: None, Odd, Even, Mark, Space
- Operating modes available: TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Server, UDP Client, HTTPD Client (supports GET and POST)
- Configuration via web page, AT commands, serial protocol, and network protocol; provides configuration protocol for integration into custom software
- Supports configurable heartbeat packets to ensure reliable connection and active retrieval of sensor data
- Supports configurable registration packets; automatically transmits a registered packet as an ID after connection is established to distinguish different devices
- Supports customizable web page for user configuration of the module
- Supports RFC2217-like protocol for communication with devices with changeable serial port parameters (baud rate, data bits, etc.)
- KeepAlive mechanism to detect broken connections and auto-reconnect
- Supports timeout reboot (reboot without data) to ensure long-term stable operation; reboot time is configurable
- Supports DNS domain name resolution; configurable DNS server
- Supports DHCP for automatically obtaining IP address or static IP
- Firmware is upgradeable via network
- Factory settings restoration via software and/or hardware
- Comes with a default MAC address, which is configurable
- Provided software: module configuration software, TCP/UDP testing tool, VCOM virtual serial port software
- Code examples: host computer (socket), VB, C++, Delphi, Android, iOS, and others
