Features Overview

This device is an RS232/485/422 data collector and IoT gateway for industrial applications. It combines multiple functions in one unit: serial server, Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway, RS485 to JSON conversion, etc. The module is equipped with RS232/485/422 ports and an Ethernet port (PoE function optional), powered via a DC connector (outer diameter: 5.5mm, inner: 2.1mm) or screw terminals. The DIN-rail mountable enclosure is compact, easy to install, and cost-effective.

MQTT/JSON ↔ Modbus

Flexible conversion between different protocols.

MQTT/JSON to Modbus

When used as an MQTT gateway, the device can transmit serial data to an MQTT server via transparent MQTT protocol transmission. Supported servers include: Baidu Cloud MQTT, Alibaba Cloud MQTT, China Mobile OneNet, etc. Collected Modbus RTU data or non-standard serial data can be parsed into JSON format and packed into an MQTT packet for upload.

When used as a JSON data acquisition gateway, the device connects to measuring instruments via RS485, automatically collects data, converts it to JSON format, and sends it to the server. Modbus RTU, 645 instruments (version 97 and version 07), and various non-standard RS485 protocols are supported. The upload format is customizable via the host; the JSON upload protocol can be MQTT, HTTP POST, or HTTP GET.
