The RS485 TO POE ETH (B) is a hardware-upgraded version: it supports power via a PoE Ethernet port, features power and signal isolation, ensuring higher safety in industrial environments. All three versions have identical software functionality.
Overview of Features
This is an RS485 data acquisition device / IoT gateway for industrial environments. It combines several functions in one enclosure: serial server, Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway, RS485 to JSON conversion, etc. The module is equipped with RS485 and Ethernet ports (PoE function optional), and uses screw terminals for power connection. The DIN-rail mountable enclosure is compact and easy to install. Suitable for data acquisition, IoT gateways, security systems, and smart instrument monitoring.

Flexible conversion between different protocols.
When used as an MQTT gateway, devices can send serial data to an MQTT server via transparent MQTT protocol transmission. Servers supported: Baidu Cloud MQTT, Alibaba Cloud MQTT, China Mobile OneNet, etc. Received Modbus RTU data or non-standard serial data can be parsed into JSON format and packed into an MQTT packet for upload.
When used as a JSON data acquisition gateway, devices connect to meters via RS485, automatically collect data, convert it to JSON format, and send it to the server. Protocols supported: Modbus RTU, 645 version 97 meters, 645 version 07 meters, and various non-standard RS485 protocols. The upload data format is configured via the host; the JSON upload protocol can be MQTT, HTTP POST, or HTTP GET.

Different network devices are identified and receive responses separately — without crosstalk when working with multiple network devices.
