RS485 TO POE ETH (B) is an upgraded version of the hardware, which supports PoE Ethernet port power supply with power and signal isolation protection, making it safer for industrial applications. All three versions have the same software functionality.
OVERVIEW
This is an industrial RS485 data acquisition / IoT gateway, designed for industrial environment. It combines multiple functions in one, including serial server, Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway, RS485 to JSON, and so on. The module features RS485 and Ethernet port (PoE function is optional), uses screw terminals for power input. DIN-rail mountable case design, compact size, easy to install. It is suitable for applications like data acquisition, IoT gateway, security & IoT, smart instrument monitoring, etc.

MQTT/JSON TO MODBUS
More flexible conversion between different protocols
When used as an MQTT gateway, devices can upload serial data to the MQTT server through the MQTT protocol using transparent transmission. Supported servers include Baidu Cloud MQTT, Alibaba Cloud MQTT, China Mobile OneNet, and others. The received Modbus RTU data or non-standard serial data can be parsed in JSON format and packaged into an MQTT data packet for upload.
When used as a JSON data acquisition gateway, devices can be connected to data acquisition instruments via an RS485 connection, then automatically acquire data, convert the data to JSON format, and finally send it to the server. The acquired data supports Modbus RTU 645 meter version 97, 645 meter version 07, as well as various non-standard RS485 protocols. The format of the uploaded data can be configured via the host, and the JSON upload protocol can be MQTT protocol, HTTP POST protocol, HTTP GET protocol, etc.
